Services & Fees

At Brown's Driving School all of our programs are state licensed and an insurance reduction certificate is available upon completion. The following is a list of our programs and fees:

Driver Education Program

• Available year-round
• Free student pick-up/drop off for in-car instruction at home or school in our local pick-up area (available all driving days with the exception of the driving test day at DPS)
• Classroom completed in 10 hours (2 days)
• Classes are scheduled outside of school hours.  Evening & weekend classes available!
• Drive times completed in 6 hours (3 days)
• One-on-one in-car instruction
• 1 year to complete the program

Driving Test
We reserve testing appointments 5 days a week at the Department of Public Safety in South Oklahoma City, Norman and Yukon. This eliminates waiting in line and parents do not have to be present. On the day of the test, a certified instructor will practice with the student in the same Brown's Driving School car in which they take their test. Brown's transports the student to DPS for their scheduled testing appointment and then to the tag agency to get their license. The student is then taken back to school or home. Our testing services program has been very successful and presently we have over a 90% pass ratio on all testing done through the program since it was implemented.
 
  *Driving test fee is not due until the day of the test ($60).

Driving Test (Requirements)
To take the driving test through Brown's Driving School, a student must meet the following requirements:

• Have a permit with issue date at least 6 months prior to test date (if under18)
• Have certificate of completion for driver education course (if under 18)
• Be at least 16 years old
• Must have all fees paid in full
• Have 2 forms of ID. First ID can be a permit; second ID - We recommend a state issued birth certificate and you must know your Social Security #.  Also, it can be school year ID with picture(see pg. 1-2 of OK Driver's Manual for list)
• If not born in the U.S., must show valid documentation of legal resident status or proof of citizenship

Defensive Driving Program

• 6 hour lecture course
• 2 point reduction off driving record
• Court ordered ticket removal 
• Insurance Reduction

     *Online defensive driving programs do not remove 2 pts. off of driving record

MVAPC
Motor Vehicle Accident Prevention Course--perfect for fleet programs and onsite driving analysis. Call for details.
 
Private Lessons/Rehabilitation Evaluations
We offer private lessons, but encourage you to come to class. One of the benefits of coming to class is receiving an insurance reduction certificate. Individuals that are not enrolled in our school can also take private lessons.
 
We also offer rehabilitation evaluations for individuals who have suffered a stroke or another type of traumatic injury. We provide a thorough driving analysis for doctors and insurance companies when rehabilitation evaluations are needed.
